We respect your privacy and are committed to maintaining your confidence and trust.  Our augmented reality apps only capture the data you purposely select and choose to upload as part of the app functionality, and this data is only available to those that have logged into the account you create.

 

Our 'TagScan' app provides the ability to scan in tracking information, and the ability to upload images and multimedia if you choose (for example, to add survey notes to an asset).  The app uses the camera to recognize the visual codes and barcodes, and only takes pictures if you choose the image upload.  If you choose images or multimedia from your phone gallery it will only upload the image you select and will not access the gallery otherwise.  If you have logged into a TagScan account that has the 'Scan Mode' activated (off by default) and you choose to scan a column (role) that is location data, it will store the current location of your phone in the online database only for that instant for the purpose of recording the location of the asset on which the visual code is affixed, it will not track your position at other times.   

 

Additionally, the device ID is never stored and the contact list is never accessed.

 

In TagScan the main mode is the "View Mode" where, if a file type column in the database has been selected, you can choose to upload images, video, or sound.  If you are in the "Scan Mode" of TagScan it attaches the relevant data when you aim at a visual code.  This information is usually time-stamped, which is only the time and date, a text field you enter, a form you can agree to sign, or a location.

 

If you choose to email us and provide personally identifiable information about yourself, we will not use the information for any purpose other than to respond to your inquiry.
